Love Kelowna - Community Service Day Wherever you are and whoever God called you to be....God made you for a purpose! He has called each of us to be On Mission...Now! So, whether you are on your own or with a group or with your church as a whole - find some way to show someone or some part of your community God's love. The only rule is that there are to be no strings attached.
The 40 Days for Life campaign was a peaceful fast and prayer vigil held across Canada and the USA from February 17 to March 28, 2010. The focus of this vigil was to take a stand against the precious lives being aborted at hospitals. Polls were taken from 167 cities and the final count to date, that we know of, is 532 babies saved. Praise the Lord!

Memorial Service for the Unborn: at Kelowna General Hospital August 23 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm commemorated the thousands of lives lost to abortion in our community
since the return of abortion to KGH in 2000.

January 28 was the 21st anniversary of the "Morgentaler Decision" in which the Supreme Court struck down Canada's existing abortion law. Since then, abortion has been legal for all nine months of pregnancy in Canada. There was a semi-annual Morgentaler demonstration at the corner of
Hwy 97 and Richter on Sat. 31 Jan.
The Kelowna Right to Life will be holding their annual Golf for Life Charity Classic at Shadow Ridge Golf Club on Saturday, June 19. The cost of this year’s event is $75 and includes 9 holes of golf, steak dinner, prizes, a silent auction and a guest speaker.
